Georgia On My Mind Concert Goes Lakeside

There’s not an event around that hasn’t been impacted by COVID-19 and the annual Georgia On My Mind benefit concert at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville is no exception. Last year, the concert was re-imagined as a live-stream benefit and this year, Gretsch Presents the 8th Annual Georgia On My Mind moves Lakeside at Five Arrow Farms in Social Circle, Georgia on April 17, 2021. The outdoor, socially distanced concert features performances by Amy Ray, Brent Cobb, Jontavious Willis, Kalen & Aslyn, and Lola Gulley Band with special guests including Kevn Kinney. The benefit, which is limited to 100 attendees, includes dinner and beverages. Tickets are $250 and are sold in tables or pods of two, four or six guests.

All proceeds benefit the Georgia Music Foundation’s Georgia Music Grant program which provides funding for music projects at schools, after-school programs and summer music camps statewide. The Foundation has distributed more than $500,000 in music education grants since the Georgia On My Mind concerts began in 2014 and in 2020, the Foundation distributed an additional $70,000 in Georgia Music Relief Fund grants to musicians who were financially impacted by the shutdown of live music venues and cancellation of tours due to COVID-19.
