Like a family reunion, the Peach Pickers—Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson and Ben Hayslip—will once again assemble a star-studded group of friends to celebrate the music of their home state with “Jameson Irish Whiskey Presents Georgia On My Mind.” The concert returns to the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, Dec. 20, with proceeds benefitting the Georgia Music Foundation. Tickets are $52.50 and $42.50 and will be available via Ticketmaster outlets, ticketmaster.com, ryman.com or by calling 800-745-3000.
The 2017 lineup of artists will be announced throughout April, but tickets often sell out prior to the announcement and unannounced guests join the fun each year. Over the past three years, friends joining the Peach Pickers on stage have included Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Big Boi of Outkast, Thomas Rhett, Cole Swindell, Kevn Kinney, Randy Houser, Lee Brice, Craig Campbell, Laura Alaina, Tyler Farr, Otis Redding III, Dexter Redding, Maggie Rose, Daryle Singletary, Brent Cobb, Pat Alger, Tony Arata, Travis Denning, Trea Landon, Jon Langston, Jordan Rager, Sonia Leigh and the James Brown Academy of Musik Pupils’ JAMP Masters.
The Georgia Music Foundation, a non-profit organization established in 1994, has distributed nearly $150,000 in grants to deserving music education, preservation and outreach programs across the state in the past three years from “Georgia On My Mind” proceeds. Each year during the concert, the Georgia Music Foundation presents its Flamekeeper Award to a Georgia artist who tirelessly preserves and promotes Georgia’s musical roots and traditions.
